Brighton and Hove Albion winger, Kaoru Mitoma, isn't just good at dribbling, he also wrote a thesis on the skill.

At the age of 18, Mitoma chose to attend the University of Tsukuba rather than enter the professional game back home in Japan.

As part of his studies, the now Premier League player wrote a thesis on dribbling. “It was the easiest subject for me to choose because I love football and dribbling is what I love to do” he explained. “There were no rules on how much to write, but I progressed with it by analysing my team-mates that were good and not-so-good dribblers and trying to find out why that was."

Mitoma is certainly putting the findings of his studies to good use. Watch our advice on how to improve your dribbling skills, inspired by the Japanese star.
